With over 60 years of experience in domestic and international petroleum engineering construction, we possess comprehensive capabilities spanning planning, consulting, survey, design, procurement, construction, equipment manufacturing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, technical support, supervision, PMC, and integrity management. Our expertise covers the entire industry chain and its core technologies, providing full life-cycle project management and integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solutions. We offer technical services and turnkey contracts for onshore and offshore oil and gas field development, oil and gas storage and transportation, oil-gas-water treatment, and road & municipal engineering.

Domestically, we have successfully delivered multiple flagship projects including: large-scale integrated ten-million-ton oil fields and billion-cubic-meter gas fields, West-East Gas Pipeline Project, Fujian Refining Subsea Pipeline, Dongping Crude Oil Depot Relocation BEPC Project, and Surface Facility Construction for Wen 23 Gas Storage Facility. Internationally, we have executed high-quality projects such as: Kenya Geothermal Pipeline Project, Ghana Natural Gas Project, Algeria Water Transmission Pipeline, Saudi Rabigh Refinery Project, UAE Oil Depot Project, and Saudi Khamis Mushait Three-Layer Interchange.

CCUS Technology

We have developed a comprehensive CCUS technology portfolio covering the entire process chain, including: low-cost, high-efficiency CO2 capture technology, design, construction, and operation of full-phase CO2 pipelines, closed injection and recycling technology for CO2 - EOR and storage, and carbon emission verification and CCER certification support. Project scale has expanded from hundreds of thousands to millions of tons per year. The integrated CCUS technology suite leads the domestic industry, with capture technology reaching internationally advanced levels. We led the development of China’s first national standard for CO2 capture and the first industry standard for CO2 pipelines, and hold 21 invention patents, 8 provincial/ministerial science awards, and 5 Sinopec proprietary technologies. As the EPC contractor, we built and commissioned China’s first 100-km, million-ton supercritical CO2 pipeline, filling a key gap in scaling up CCUS deployment and establishing the company as the domestic leader in this field.

Key Technologies for Long-Distance Oil & Gas Pipeline Construction

Our innovations include 15 key breakthroughs such as: controlled source audio-frequency magnetotelluric method for tunnel rock classification, integrated design and application of X80 high-grade large-diameter pipelines, construction technology and equipment integration for pipeline networks in water-rich and shallow offshore areas, etc. The segment holds 26 patents and has constructed over 60,000 km of onshore pipelines and 740 km of subsea pipelines, achieving more than 20% reduction in project duration. It has set dozens of construction records, including welding 85 joints per day for D1219mm pipelines using fully automatic welding.

Offshore Platform Design & Construction Technology

SSC has integrated and innovated in the design and construction of multiple platform types, including: jacket leg platforms, cylindrical leg platforms, movable wellhead platforms, economic shallow water fixed platforms, and intermediate to deep water conductor platforms. It has set 10 domestic records, including the cylindrical leg drilling platform operating at the greatest water depth, and holds 35 patents. Having designed and built 156 offshore platforms, the company has strongly supported the efficient development of China’s offshore oil and gas fields.
